Differ or Defer

I have a friend who doesn't parent exactly the way I do and I disagree with some of the things she says to her son and some of the things she lets him do. Recently she has been "parenting" my child when I'm around her. I don't want to cause issues between us, so do I say something or just let it go?

I wouldn't bring it up as an issue, I'm sure it would hurt her feelings and jeopardize your friendship. Especially because she probably thinks that she's helping you.
When she starts to parent your child, stand or get down on the ground in front of your child, but between her and him and casually say with a smile "I got it". Then do what you need to do to diffuse the situation that made her think she needed to parent him anyway. No hurt feelings, and you're in control of parenting your boy.
